Three power projects of EVN have to be urgently developed

These three projects as Quang Trach Power Center (including thermal power
plants Quang Trach 1 (2x600 MW),Quang Trach 2 (2x600 MW) and Quang Trach
Coal Harbor), Bac Ai Hydropower Pump Storage Plant (4x300 MW) and Tri An
Hydropower Extended Plant (200 MW) under Electricity of Vietnam (EVN)
Investor have been put into urgent ones in order to guarantee security of
electricity supply in period after 2020 up.

At the present, many items of infrastructure of the Quang Trach Power Center
which recently handed over from PVN to EVN, are being promptly implemented
with a goal to start the construction of Quang Trach 1 at the end of 2017
and Quang Trach 2 in 2019, and to put into operation unit #1 of Quang Trach
1 in 2021 and Quang Trach 2 in 2023.

Regarding the Bac Ai Hydropower Pump Storage Plant and Tri An Hydropower
Extended Plant, it is necessary to develop these projects for covering peak
load demand of daily load diagram of the Southern regional power system in
the context that in this system will be many large thermal power plants
working at base load of daily load diagram in 2023 - 2025 period.
