Petronas starts producing LNG at PFLNG Satu (Kanowit) in Malaysia

Malaysian national oil and gas company Petronas has produced its first LNG
from the Kanowit gas field, offshore Sarawak in Malaysia, thanks to its
floating liquefied natural gas (PFLNG 1) facility moored at the Kanowit gas
field. The facility, also known as PFLNG Satu, has a liquefaction capacity
of 1.2 Mt/year. Commercial operations are expected in the first quarter of
2017.

PFLNG Satu will play a significant role in Petronas' efforts to unlock the
gas reserves in Malaysia's remote and stranded fields currently deemed
uneconomical to develop and evacuate and will help meet the growing demand
for gas.
