Laos: LAK 600 Billion Solar Power Farm Takes Shape

Attapeu Authorities have allowed the NVPE Company from Singapore to invest
in a solar power development project in the province, worth over 600 billion
kip (US$ 74.587 million).

The solar power development project will be located at KM 37 Hadsane
Village, Xaysettha District, covering an area of 120 hectares over three
locations, with an expected generation capacity of 45 MW.

This project will contribute to Attapeu's socio-economic development growth
and promote clean, environmentally friendly and sustainable power, improve
the living conditions of locals, as well as generate revenue for the
province.

The signing ceremony of the agreement was held in Attapeu province on May 19
between Attapeu Governor Nam Viyaket and Director of Singapore NVPE Company
Landcer Vandera Wen.

Witnesses at the function were Director of the Attapeu Provincial Planning
and Investment Department Soulichanh Phonkeo, Director of Attapeu Provincial
Department of Energy and Mines Vithaya Phommachanh, local authorities and
representatives from relevant sectors.
