Indonesia offers three shale oil and gas blocks to bidders
The Ministry of Energy of Indonesia is offering three new unconventional oil
and gas blocks in Sumatra and Kalimantan to potential bidders. Bidders can
make an upfront payment for block development rights or they can propose a
production split (until now, any production split was pre-determined by the
government). The three blocks are estimated to hold potential resources of 7
tcf (198 bcm) of gas and 21 mbl of oil.
