Malaysia: Energy Commission releases 'Energy Statistics Handbook 2016'
The Energy Commission has just published the 'Energy Statistics Handbook
2016', a comprehensive and handy guide which summarises key energy data and
statistics in Malaysia.
In a statement today, the commission said the handbook, consisting of 10
sections, outlines the mechanism of energy in Malaysia, as well as provides
an overview of trend changes over the years.
"From the production of primary energy supply, to how the energy supply is
transformed, and finally, how the energy is consumed by various end-users
(the Handbook contains it all).
"It also includes energy prices, energy indicators, as well as the energy
balance tables as of 2014," the statement said.
The handbook also covers Malaysia's electricity and piped gas supply
performance for 2015.
The data will be updated annually and disseminated to the public through its
publication every year.
"It serves as a general reference for policy makers, public and private
organisations, students and the general public. The handbook is also
available from the commission's website at http://www.st.gov.my.
