Philippines: Waste to energy facility pact up for signing in Dagupan

A cleaner Dagupan City is expected soon with the signing of a joint venture
agreement (JVA) on August 10 seeking to establish the country's and
Southeast Asia's first waste to energy facility in a ceremony to be held at
CSI Stadia here.

The signing will be between SURE Global Waste to Worth Innovations (W2WI)
Philippines, with the support of Procter & Gamble (P&G), and the city
government of Dagupan which will benefit from the facility at no cost at all
from the City Government.

An invitation sent by Dana Ting of GreenBulb public relations, stated that
to be signed is JVA of Sure Global with the City of Dagupan to establish the
city's very own waste management and reduction facility.

Through this project, the parties aim to provide the whole city of Dagupan
with sustainable means to convert waste into reusable materials like biogas
and diesel fuel.

Heading the JVA signing is Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez, Jill Boughton
of Waste to Worth Innovations Inc., with the participation of Crispin Lao of
the National Solid Waste Management Commission.

The signing will take place at the Emerald Hall at CSI Stadia Lucao
District, Dagupan City. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and guests will be
served lunch at 11:30 p.m. The program will start promptly at 1 p.m.

The Waste to Energy facility is set on a two-hectare area in Bonuan Binloc
reserved by the City Government.
