Vietnam: Unit#1 of Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant has synchronized with the
National Power System

At 18.00 on 23 May 2017, Unit#1 of Thai Binh1 Thermal Power Plant (TPP) has
successfully connected to the National Power System.

Thai Binh 1 TPP is invested by Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), implemented by
Electricity Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3) and managed by Thai Binh
TPP Management Board.

Thai Binh 1 TPP with a capacity of 600 MW (2x300 MW) was officially started
for construction on February 22, 2015. The total investment of the project
is over VND 26.5 trillion including 85% of ODA loan from Japan International
Cooperation Agency (JICA) and 15% of corresponding fund from EVN.

That the plant put into operation has a great significance in ensuring the
electricity supply for socio-economic development and contributing to
promote the industrialization process of Thai Binh province and several
neighboring provinces in the Northern Delta as well as adding more
generation to the National Power System.
