Indonesia: PGN Obtains 37bn BTU Gas from ConocoPhillips

State gas company PGN received 37 billion British thermal units (BTU) of
natural gas from ConocoPhillips. PGN President Director Jobi Triananda
Hasjim explained in its press release that the additional gas supply will be
allocated to regions in Dumai, Riau.

The agreement signing was done by Jobi and the ConocoPhillips general
manager Bajian Agarwal during the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA)
convention on Wednesday, May 17.

"This deal signing is also a support from government and upstream companies
alike towards PGN in order to broaden the uses of natural gas, which is
domestically more efficient and environmentally friendly," Jobi said.

The deal states that the gas supply will flow throughout 2018 to 2023. PGN
will distribute the gas production from ConocoPhillips to the people through
a network of Duri-Dumai transmission pipes.

PGN is currently finishing the construction of 137 kilometers distribution
pipes that is predicted to be complete in 2018. The company is also working
on the 67 kilometers Duri-Dumai pipe project.

Up to today, the state-owned company has constructed and operated natural
gas pipe network measuring more than 7,200 kilometers across Indonesia. PGN
operates two floating storage and regasification units (FSRU), 11 gas
refueling stations, and four mobile refueling units (MRU).
