Indonesia: BP will supply LNG from Tangguh to PT PLN

BP has signed an agreement with Indonesian power utility PT PLN for the
supply of 16 cargoes of LNG per year over a 15-year period starting in 2020.
This represents the delivery of around 1.04 Mt/year, based on an average
cargo size of 65,000 kt of LNG. LNG will be sourced from the Tangguh LNG
project in eastern Indonesia.

The Tangguh LNG plant was commissioned in 2009 and consists of two
liquefaction trains of 3.8 Mt/year each. A third 3.8 Mt/year train will be
commissioned on the site by 2020. The expansion project is expected increase
government revenues while helping Indonesia meet its growing energy demand
and energy security goals.

The government expects to get US$5bn in revenue from LNG sales by 2035. Five
other domestic gas supply agreements were signed during the Indonesian
Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition 2017 in May 2017.
