Vietnam: Ground breaking Viet Tri 500 kV Transformer Substation and it's
Feeder

At the morning of November 20, 2016, in Gia Thanh commune, Phu Ninh
district, Phu Tho province, the Northern Electricity Management Board under
EVN National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held a ceremony for
ground breaking the bidding package No 5 for developing the first stage of
project "Viet Tri 500 kV Transformer Substation (450 + 900 MVA) and it's
Feeders".

In the first stage of project will istall a 500/220kV- 450 MVA transformer
and two 500kV feeder circuits with a length of 2.5km each and four 220kV
feeder circuits with a length of 16km each. The total investment level of
the project is estimated VND 1,246.8 billion including commercial credit
loans and own capital of EVNNPT.

The project is developed to: meet the load demand growth of the Northern
region, especially Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc provinces; create a strong
connection between regional power grids and increase operation safety and
stability for the national power system; decrease electricity losses in
transmission grids and increase production and business efficiency of EVN.
