DMCI Power Corp to Invest $18.3 Million in a New Power Plant in the
Philippines

DMCI Power Corp, the energy generation subsidiary of DMCI Holdings Inc, has
announced that it will be investing $18.3 million in building a new
bunker-fired power plant in the Philippines. The plant will be constructed
in Irawan village, which is located in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
Province. Irawan is extremely popular for its eco-adventure tour that takes
visitors to the jungles of Palwan.

The 3 x 6.3 MW power plant is being constructed at the behest of Palawan
Electric Cooperative (PALECO), and it is anticipated that it will be
operational by the end of 2017.

The board of PALECO took a resolution to replace the high-speed diesel
generator that is currently in place. This generator will be replaced by the
bunker-fired plant that will help in eliminating power interruptions the
main grid of the region is experiencing. DMCI Power Corp recommended the new
installation in the area to help reduce the stress on the transmission
lines.

DMCI Power Corp believes that this is a smart and prudent investment since
it will provide a lot of benefits to the Denizens of Palawan. Furthermore,
with more stable and reliable power supply, the region will be able to
encourage more businesses to set up base and this will create a thriving
economic environment.

As an off-grid energy producer, DCMI Power Corp saw its net income double
from P361 million to P732 million in 2015.
