Thailand: PTT to probe Rolls Royce's alleged briberies in its energy
projects

The state-owned PTT Plc has set up a fact finding committee to look into its
procurement of Rolls Royce machineries used in the energy industry following
disclosure by Rolls Royce that it paid briberies to officials of state-owned
energy companies in many countries, including Thailand.

The reaction to Rolls Royce's revelation of the payment of briberies to
airlines and energy firms in many countries came after Thai Airways
International yesterday set up a committee to prove into alleged briberies
to former executives of the national flag carrier during the period from
2000-2013.

PTT chief executive Thevin Wongwanich said today that the committee would
look into all its projects that purchased Rolls Royce machineries during
the period.

It's finding will be submitted to the PTT board of directors within 30 days.

He vowed to handle the investigation seriously and immediately to bring
about clarity and transparency under its good governance rule.

Any update in the finding would be informed to the public, he added.
