First gas flows from Thien Ung offshore southern Vietnam

Vietsovpetro has produced first gas and condensate from the TU-6 well of the
BK-TNG platform at the Thien Ung field offshore Vietnam.

According to partner PetroVietnam, the well flowed around 540,000 cm/d of
gas and 200 metric tons/d (220 tons/d) of condensate on start-up last month.

Production heads the Bach Ho field pipeline system to mainland Vietnam.

Thien Ung is in license 04-3 in the Nam Con Son basin, southeast of the Bach
Ho field, in a water depth of 120 m (393 ft) and 270 km (168 mi) offshore.

Vietsovpetro manages operations on behalf of the license partners
PetroVietnam and Russia's AO Zarubezhneft Oil and Gas Co.
