Vietnam: Adjusting and supplementing several 500 kV power grid projects
The Prime Minister has agreed to allow adjusting and supplementing several
500 kV power grid projects.
The adjusted projects are: to hasten the schedule of 18 km Quang Trach -
Vung Ang 500 kV double circuit line from 2021 - 2025 to 2016 - 2020 period
and to replace 190 km Doc Soi - Pleiku 500 kV single circuit line from 2026
- 2030 period by the 200 km Doc Soi - Pleiku 500 kV double circuit line to
2016 - 2020 period.
The supplemented project is 485 km Quang Trach - Doc Soi 500 kV double
circuit line and Quang Trach 500 kV distribution yard operated in 2016 -
2020 period.
The Prime Minister assigns Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) in
coordination with the People's Committee of relevant provinces to guide
investor in carrying out steps of preparing and building the above mentioned
supplementing project in accordance with the current regulations of building
investment, quality management and environmental protection.
At the same time, MOIT has to review and adjust the other power projects in
changing their size as well as schedule of operation of power plants in the
region for ensuring economic efficiency and avoiding waste.
The Prime Minister assigns EVN to direct the National Power Transmission
Corporation to speed up the implementation schedule of the project and be
responsible for putting these projects into operation before 2020 and to
propose the mechanism for guarantee to complete projects in planned time.
